Walking in Sky, Possible!
(Tianmen Mountain Glass Skywalk)

Ever thought of walking in Sky?
If Yes, then you ‘Must’ visit Tianmen Mountain Glass Skywalk
If No, then too you ‘Must’ visit it to feel the thrill

Tianmen Mountain Glass Skywalk is 4,700 feet (1,430 m) above sea level and located in Zhangjiajie, China. This koool Skywalk was constructed out of 2.5 inch crystal-clear glass, thus allowing everyone to have a spectacular view of the nature

These glasses are so thick that no matter how much you jump it’s not going to break.
However, one should have lots of guts in touring Tianmen because it’s a ‘Glass’ Skywalk and hence it’s transparent. Also, one cannot easily view the ground because you are actually surrounded by Clouds.

Tianmen is one of the lifetime experiences that Recommends4u is recommending you guys to make your life an unforgettable journey.

But, but but…
If Tianmen Glass Skywalk has taken your breath away then please wait a minute and take a look at the construction of – Shifou Mountain

The ‘Road’ on Shifou Mountain in Hunan Province that stands vertical 90 degree was made with hardly any safety measures.

Mouth Shut!

Bentley Incense GT
(It’s so sexy…)

It’s so smooth as a Silk and as hard as Diamond that I wish I could buy and go for a drive on a silent road near California.

Oops, out of my dream!
Friends this is a proposed car design that one of the designers had stepped in as an entry in one of the competition organized by British company. It’s titled as
“Draft Bentley Incense GT”

Despite the name Incense that means smoke, it’s designed in such a way that the final product should turn out more environments friendly. Draft decided to avoid the traditional feel of Bentley and make it feel WOW!

This top view of the design makes me imagine as if it’s waiting to conquer the world.
Now that’s koool!!!

Contact Lens Projector
(‘Terminator’ Style Cyborg)

Always wondered if technology is developing so fast at every second then why isn’t there a technology that can stream information in front of our eyes, as shown in so many movies (The famous one – ‘Terminator’)

Future is here.
Researchers at University of Washington and Aalto University, in Finland are developing contact lenses that can info-stream in front of our eyes.

Generally, the term “cyborg” is referred to a human with robotic implants.
With the help of this technology all we need to do is to put the contact lenses. Range of information such as Emails, Health Alerts, Cues from navigation system etc, will be streamed on the lens

So far, scientists are successfully able to control a single pixel and as research goes deeper they will be able to increase their pixel control count. Perhaps hundred is enough to stream messages.

Working:

Scientists have embedded a tiny LED into the center of a plastic contact lens. A circular antenna is laid around the edges of the lens and connected it with the circuit to the LED. Using a remote radio frequency transmission, scientist could control the pixel and will able to transmit the information.

“If we can make them as comfortable as normal contact lenses, you don’t feel you’re wearing them,” co-author Babak Amir Parviz, an associate professor of electrical engineering at the University of Washington, told Discovery. “In a sense, it’s the ultimate electronic gear that is totally unnoticeable.”
Now that's koool!!!

Hope someday it can video-stream!!!

From 3D to 3DPlus
(SMELLIT by Olf-Action)

I was wondering whether this interesting concept “SMELLIT” should be tagged as a 4D concept or not? But on researching found that 4D is a complete different package.

If 3D is responsible for making you feel as if you are there, then SMELLIT will be responsible for letting you Smell the Aroma of the place.

Yes, you can actually smell the aroma of the surrounding that you are watching on your screen. Now that’s koool and hence I tagged it 3D Plus cause it’s an add on to the 3D Feel.

Working:
There are Jet Engines which are responsible for creating the aroma for the view that we are watching. Now there are various unique scents that are created according to the scene and placed within the Jet Engines. On the change of the scene the scent will be disbursed in the environment. Thus giving us the feel of the surrounding that we are watching.

Below is the list of Scent that are currently manufactured

Olf-Action has already developed and installed the technology for Cinema viewing and it’s called as “Odoravision”. Where as SMELLIT is responsible for Gaming and Home Cinema purpose.

The “Magic Cube”
(Celluon Virtual Laser Keyboard)

VKB – Magic Cube happens to be the next big thing in modern era

The “Magic Cube” is the projection keyboard that lasers project a Full-Sized Keyboard on any Flat or Opaque surface and requires very little space to operate. It is compatible to Tablet’s, Mobile phones, Laptops & Desktop or any other mobile devices that supports Bluetooth HID without installing a Driver.

However, Virtual Keyboard was invented and patented by IBM engineers in 1992. But it was Canesta who developed a project keyboard using their proprietary (EPT) Tech “Electronic Perception Technology” in 2002. The Magic Cube is licensed to Celluon of Korea.

The Magic Cube has a long lasting Rechargeable Lithium Polymer Battery and a Power Saving Mode that allows us to turn-off the laser projector or turn on with a single touch or simple gesture.

Working:

Laser Projects the Virtual Keyboard on the surface

Sensor senses and picks up the finger movements

An invisible infrared beam is projected above the virtual keyboard

Finger makes keystroke on virtual keyboard. This breaks infrared beam and infrared light is reflected back to projector

Reflected infrared beam passes through infrared filter to camera

Camera photographs angle of incoming infrared light

Sensor chip determines where infrared beam was broken detected coordinates determine actions or characters to be generated

At the same time the same keyboard sound that we are acquainted to while typing, is also generated. Now that’s koool!!!

3D Chips - Skyscraper
(3M & IBM’s initiative…)

In the world where technology is growing at rapid pace and beyond our imagination it’s really tough to stay calm if our work is delayed, even by a second. Every now and then we get to hear the word “COMPACT” for our personal computers. Some one reduces the size of the chips or some one replaces the Hard Disk with Flash drives. Solely for the reason of staying ahead of the competition and giving something new and innovative to it’s people. Realized that the time is very near when we have reached a point of approaching the physical limits of these processes.

But then this happened:

3M & IBM, the Tech Giants have came up with a unique Glue that allow them to stack chips up to 100 semiconductor layers. Now that’s koool. But what’s Superkoool, is that

“This Glue will not only stack these chips electronically, but also dissolve the heat generated during operation”

"Today's chips, including those containing 3D transistors, are in fact 2D chips that are still very flat structures," explained Bernie Meyerson, a vice president of IBM Research, during the press conference. "Our scientists are aiming to develop materials that will allow us to package tremendous amounts of computing power into a new form factor – a silicon skyscraper. We believe we can advance the state-of-art in packaging, and create a new class of semiconductors that offer more speed and capabilities while they keep power usage low – key requirements for many manufacturers, especially for makers of tablets and smart phones."

Mr. Timothy Prickett Morgan of Theregister.co.uk has explained the concept really well:

“The idea is to take components that are often separate on a system – processors, main memory, networking and other peripherals – and etch them all onto chips and then stack them up in a 3D array, rather than solder them onto a motherboard and wire them together with metal stripes in a 2D array. By going 3D, the wires between components can not only be shortened - cutting the time those components need to exchange signals and potentially requiring less energy to send a signal.”

Unique Idea From Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales

Read full...
"The idea and initiative of thinking for so many volunteers is so koool...
Don't forget to visit the link provided below"

I'm a volunteer.
I don't get paid a cent for my work at Wikipedia, and neither do our thousands of other volunteer authors and editors. When I founded Wikipedia, I could have made it into a for-profit company with advertising banners, but I decided to do something different.
Where your donation goes
  • Technology: Servers, bandwidth, maintenance, development. Wikipedia is the #5 website in the world, and it runs on a fraction of what other top websites spend
  • People: The other top 10 websites have thousands of employees. We have fewer than 100, making your donation a great investment in a highly-efficient not-for-profit organization
Commerce is fine. Advertising is not evil. But it doesn't belong here. Not in Wikipedia.
Wikipedia is something special. It is like a library or a public park. It is like a temple for the mind. It is a place we can all go to think, to learn, to share our knowledge with others. It is a unique human project, the first of its kind in history. It is a humanitarian project to bring a free encyclopedia to every single person on the planet.
Every single person.
If all of Wikipedia's 400 million users would donate $5 each, we would have 100 times the amount of money we need. We're a small organization, and I've worked hard over the years to keep us lean and tight. We fulfill our mission, and leave waste to others.
To do this without resorting to advertising, we need you. It is you who keep this dream alive. It is you who have created Wikipedia. It is you who believe that a place of calm reflection and learning is worth having.
This year, please consider making a donation of $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can to protect and sustain Wikipedia.
Thanks,
Jimmy Wales
Wikipedia Founder

Apple’s iCup
(Imagine)

iCup as the name suggests, a special cup to be featured in Apple’s elite list of products.
The uniqueness in iCup is that we can cool or warm or heat any drink inside the cup. All we need to do is simply connect the iCup with your notebook. Don’t have notebook, well no problem. iCup can be connected to any device that has USB connectivity support.

So it doesn’t matter where you roam around either to park, library or offices you get the mobility and an opportunity to work uninterruptedly.

Some good Features of iCup:
ü  Heatproof body that we can touch and hold while being connected to notebook
ü  A Heat filter
ü  Durable base
ü  A Heat coil
ü  Compatible with any platform: can keep it on desktop, tables, besides laptop etc
ü  Gravity based storage methods
ü  Aluminum casing
ü  Wireless access with tip and sip interface
ü  Mobility

Check the Apple’s logo on the iCup. It has three different colors blue, orange and pink. It’s actually a heat indicator that shows us the inner temperature of the iCup. So Blue stands for cool, Orange for warm and Pink for hot. Now that’s koool!!!

Apart from these features it also has a displaceable handle that can easily fit to any small area and its changeable upper portion allows us easy washing.
